The Photographer’s Blog
I see you’ve stumbled onto my blog page. Just in case you didn’t read my bio, I’ll tell you a few things about myself. I’m a professional portrait photographer based out of Overland Park and Kansas City. I have a Bachelors of Science degree in Photography, as well as a Bachelors of Fine Art from the University of Central Missouri. I’ve been taking pictures for ten years now, and I have learned really grown a lot as a photographer. I’m probably the last of the generation of photographers who can say they learned on a film camera. OK, you are all caught up!
Have a snoop around my blog entries! This is where I put up my freshest photography work. You can choose from wedding entries, senior portrait entries, family portraits, and whatever else I get involved in. My mind is always filled with new ideas that I want to try. I will have lots of photos and concepts posted that may or may not be great. I find it important to carefully plan out my shoots and process my ideas in order to get my best work accomplished. After all, photography isn’t just about pointing a camera at stuff and taking pictures. There’s a lot of work involved before you even set out to shoot, and this blog will let you in on some of my own technical processes. Creativity doesn’t offer a guarantee, but when supplemented with forethought and preparation, you have a much better shot!
If I find myself up to it, I might just blog about life as a photographer and my obsession with photo gear. I’m a total Nikon fan boy.. Right now I’m amped about my new Dynalite kit. It comes with three heads and two packs, it’s a great way to start my new studio!
